Here we are dealing with the older IPSEC VPN method of remote VPNs, NOT AnyConnect. There is/was a VPN client for Mac OSX which you can still download. I'm using the Cisco VPN Client 5.0.02.0090 to connect to my work's VPN that way I can RDP into my work computer. Once connected, I can't ping anything on the local network once connected to the VPN thus I am unable to access my work's network. You can either change the configuration from Easy VPN NEM mode to just LAN-to-LAN VPN tunnel, or downgrade as per the workaround listed in the bug to resolve the issue.
